Our nurse practitioner, Jane Frances Chinwe Ezimorah, CPNP is a board certified psychiatric nurse with over 20 years of experience in mental healthcare. Ms. Ezimorah obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland, School of Nursing in 1998. She later obtained a Master’s of Science in Nursing in 2006 from the University of Maryland, School of Nursing.
Dr. Atabong has over 15 years of hands-on patient care ranging from the emergency room, home health, HIV clinics, substance abuse, and outpatient community clinics. She received her bachelor’s of science in nursing and her master’s in nursing as a family nurse practitioner from Coppin State University and was a member of the Mary Mahoney Nursing Honor Society. As she discovered her passion for mental health, she went on to pursue her psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner certification from the University of Cincinnati and also holds a doctorate of nursing practice from Duke University. She holds licenses in MD, VA, and DC and has dual board certification in Family practice with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Psychiatric Mental Health with the American Nursing Credentialing Center. She also holds an adjunct faculty position with Coppin State University’s Helene Fuld School of Nursing.
She is currently an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Nurse Practitioners Association of Maryland, and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
